Look Up (At the World Around You)

Ironically enough a friend of Facebook shared this the other day and I think it’s brilliant.

I don’t want to ruin it, so just watch. Trust me.

Makes you think doesn’t it?

How much of our time do we spend looking down instead of up? Too much. I’m completely guilty of this as well. I have tried over the past few months to put my phone down more but it’s hard. When everyone around you is looking at their phone and you’re the lone wolf sitting there not looking at a tiny device you start to feel awkward and out of place really fast. Which is unfortunate.

Look up…not down.

That’s what excites me most about leaving to travel the world. Technology won’t be as available to me. Sure I’ll have my laptop and iPhone, but will I be able to use it as much? Probably not. Will I want to use it as much? Definitely not. Why would I want to be staring at a phone when I could be staring at the Great Wall of China or Mount Everest instead?

I’m honestly tired of looking down all the time.

And thankfully travel makes you look up.
